I hate you! All of you :(
Apr. 6th, 2007 11:14 amI hate browsers! Old versions and new versions. Versions that aren't compliant with the standards they should be. No browser is free from my wrath :( There is little I find more frustrating than trying to design a website that looks good in all commonly used browsers.
I want to feed them all to my cow plant. It's hungry since it hasn't gotten to eat in a while. *threats*

Date: 2007-04-07 04:14 am (UTC)In any case, that's why these days I usually 'absolutely' position my elements-- It's technically not-kosher, but it's perhaps the best layout tool I've seen consistently delivering the results I want.
I don't know how it can help, but I hope you'll know :3
BTW, little CSS Tip I told someone else today that may help you out if you ever wnat to use Absolute positioning--Since you know a lot, you can just tell me that you know this-- I don't mean to be presumptuous to think that you don't know it ;-;
Just in case: You can absolutely position any element with respect to its parent element by simply specifying "Position: relative" inside the parent element.
Example:
Div A div B
Div B is 'absolutely positioned' at top 0 and left 0-- top left of page.
If you change Div A's position to "relative", it will change Div B's top and left to the top left of div A- not the page :3
:3;;; I wish this could help-- I deal with browser issues all day, so I feel your pain :(
