oh boy oh boy
Nov. 17th, 2005 01:22 pmThis is just what UMass needs. :/
I can't be there to watch this (video game club tonight) but maybe I will see about recording it. I can't even believe this crap... a good deal of the violence I have heard about has occured off campus or even hasn't involved umass students. I don't find myself thinking that this is a violent place to be at all... that's just how I want people thinking about my college!
In better news, my schedule is pretty much decided for next semester. I e-mailed one of my hopefully future teachers and he said he would sign the override form (yet another art class). I need 19 credits to graduate (whoa, how did that happen? awful planning on my part) so this is how it looks so far:
4 credit independant study, animation and hopefully some programming in the game (Euphoria that Chris and Jared and I made for Flash last semester) with one detailed 3D model as the extra 1 credit.
3 credit art class, Electronic Still Photography, which is basically a photography class that is all digital and involves doing cool things to the images in photoshop.
3 credit class, TAing for Fundamentals again
3 credit class, Child Psychology, my last general education requirement
3 credit class, Animation II, I get to learn about MAYA!!!
3 credit class, BDIC Junior Writing.
All that... and STILL NO CLASSES ON FRIDAYS!
But... a much more manageable schedule than this semester! I have class monday from 9:05-4:10 with a 1 hour break in the middle for lunch, wednesday from 9:05-2:55 (if I get the first lab time for Animation II which I hope I do), tuesday and thursday from 1:00-5:15 :) Then I get to fit in work... but no matter what no more coming home at 8 or 9pm!!!
This semester I am on campus on mondays from 1-8:30, tuesdays from 9:30-7, wednesdays from 9-8:30 (and usually later since the bus doesn't come for quite a while, and we don't have a car wednesday), thursdays from 9-1 and then 4-11 or 12 (from 7-11 or 12 though is game club, so that's okay).
The new schedule will be much better for raiding in WoW as well as general sanity. And still no friday classes... yes!
