Soooo since Thrin is gone for the week and Faradome couldn't come earlier... I got to go to Blackwing Lair last night! It was so fun! We only downed Razorgore... I think we just didn't have enough healers for Vael. Our best attempt got Vael to 5%. Our healers were just dying (from burning adren.) left and right. We already had too many to begin with, we had two people (one of them usually a paladin) healing 3 of the DPS groups on their own. Anyway, the encounter was just so cool... unlimited mana and energy and rage. Really not that useful for hunters so much, since probably we could do constant mana-using attacks for the entire fight anyway, as our abilities don't use THAT much mana, especially if just one pally judged wisdom. I got burning adren. once and I loved my instant aimed shots :) We wiped like 11 times. I don't even want to think about it. It was really frustrating and a lot of them were just really stupid... IE Musteng (guild master) called for buffs. He had Vael selected for whatever reason. He went to go hit his inner focus button... but he had accidentally hit SHIFT and up or down, and his bar had changed. Okay, let's just say... he wanded Vael. I was on my way back to the instance in wisp form and I was ressed... I clicked accept and then on Chris' computer next to me I heard the Essence of the Red buff... fuck! I was nearly dead when the screen finally loaded and died seconds afterward. My repairs cost like 9g because I was at 19% durability and my other gear in my bags had taken a couple of hits from Razorgore earlier :( Not to mention Sunday I missed out on the gold from the Gehennes kill because someone looted before everyone had ressed >_<
The Gehennes kill sunday was hilarious actually. We were not a full raid (only 30) and we had a lot of alts and whatnot who don't have very good gear, and don't know what they are doing generally. (We attempted it twice, succeeded barely the second time. The first time, well, one of our tanks on one of the adds never got healed. Yes that's right... never got healed...) The second time it ended with a complete wipe except for two people... Roundbottom (priest) and Kelsin (Chris <3 and a druid of course). They both were running around in circles while Gehennes turned to kill them, and Kelsin's moonfire killed Gehennes XD It was really amusing (although sad that we barely killed GEHENNES).
Razorgore yesterday was really fun. We got him on our third attempt. I think it was the most work I've EVER had to do as a hunter in a raid. My job was to take the north corner in the beginning, and three other hunters took the other corners. We had to stand at the corner until we saw a dragonkin spawn, then pull him with distracting shot (and pally salvation off). Then we had to run in a counter-clockwise direction, and while running (just normal running too, aspect of the cheetah is a big no-no because if anything aggros you, you'll die) we had to find any stray dragonkin and grab THEM too. At some points I would have as many as 5-8 dragonkin following me. It was really tough to keep ahead of them, and once they touch you, you are probably done for... They are immune to wing clip and concussive shot, but not to scatter shot. So sometimes when one was closing in I could scatter shot it and I'd survive. In the first attempt I was the last hunter standing, in the second attempt I was the last person standing (or perhaps second to last). Third attempt I died while I was kiting (stupid dragonkin hit me and also dazed me while Scatter Shot wasn't up) but Evaki battle rezzed me :) Then we continued the rest of the fight which was very...normal. :P lol. I had to feign death a lot and eat/drink because I completely noobed out and didn't remember to bring any bandages (or runecloth to make them). Mistal bandaged me once XD
