Sooo Voice went to Zul'Gurub for the first time! Actually, I went to ZG for the first time I guess. I don't think you can really count my two attempts on the bat boss with 12 people (on the test servers) or the ONE successful attempt I did with Aegis Uprising on my hunter on the Spider Boss.

It was SO AWESOME! Exiles of Lordaeron has Zul'Gurub on total farm status and they made the entire thing seem really easy... I got there for the tiger boss. I was given the job to heal one of the off-tanks who was tanking the shaman troll lady. I think I really impressed everyone with the speed with which I dispelled the lightning shield that she had every time she turned it on :) Everyone was telling me how it was such a horrible mana intensive fight, and I started to get really worried... I ended it with about half my mana pool :P Anyway, I didn't even know about the second half of the fight either! After they pulled in the two adds to the priest and aoe'd them down, I thought it was over. Then bam! A million tigers come and a tiger-man kind of thing. I didn't really pay attention to the main tank at all because he already had healers on him, so I just worked on healing everyone else when they were getting injured by the tigers. It went really well and I think only one person died :D

Next was the panther boss. She was really awesome too. The green whelp armor thing that [livejournal.com profile] doxamully told me about was used and it was so cool! Every time someone who wasn't a druid or a paladin got the hunter's mark thingy, they would either ice block (if they were an ice mage) or a paladin would cast blessing of protection on them. Eventually Talesavo got the mark. He had like 28 panthers hitting him and most of them ended up falling asleep. Before he got the mark, for some reason about 8 of them aggroed to me while fade was on cooldown and I became panther food :( a druid battle rezzed me later (it is SO weird when people actually battle res you, so different from the world of a hunter where I only got battle resurrected by Chris if the fight was almost done and he knew he wouldn't need it later :p). It seemed really easy but I'm sure that its a real challenge when the whole group doesn't know exactly what to do. I think I was only one of two ZG noobs there that evening :)

Then... Hakkar! We wiped once on the way to Hakkar (those 7-troll groups... ridiculous). I got ganked by one of the shadow priests which was fun :P the Hakkar fight was really cool, having to get everyone poisoned and then he would try to life drain and actually poison himself. It was a *really* long fight. I ran out of mana right at the end, but luckily I was never out of mana during the fight. I used my last heal I could, then he went down.

I got one coin during the run. I didn't REALLY want anything that dropped (two epic pieces that priests/mages could use dropped that help make the sets, but I think you need a certain reputation level to make them? so I didn't feel right rolling on them) and most of it was mage junk anyways :). But I'm big time looking forward to the next run.

ZG is on farm status for us, and I love it just the same. It's one of the most fun (and clever) instances in the game. It's also the only other instance druids can use roots in. Yay for outdoor instances! Plus I just think it's pretty inside. The loot's nice too. :3

Yeah, I knew it was a cool instance before I was invited in, but doing it was such a neat experience! The bosses were so crazy and different, and it was so fun actually getting to learn an encounter again, for the first time since Ragnaros :)

That icon is super cool.
And you got a kitty? Permanently or only babysitting?

heh good for you. Do you feel that you're a pet person and can't go for long without pets ;) because you were brought up with them?
