Got Dragonstalkers Helmet today from Onyxia. Nice. :)

Now I am going to go watch Buffy. Tried to help Tyris with getting his Eye of Shadow... holy crap. We need a full 5-man group. Why is Eye of Shadow so much harder to get than either Black or Blue dragon sinew? Black is a 10%ish drop off Onyxia and blue drops from Azuregos (just like shadow from Kazzak) or the elite dragons in winterspring. Winterspring dragons are MUCH easier than those demons... wow. Tyris went OOM so fast it was crazy T_T

Oh yes :D I am slightly (SLIGHTLY) disappointed in the dragonstalker stats though. It is almost exactly the same as giantstalkers.

Dragonstalkers compared to Giantstalkers is:
+49 armor
+4 agi
+3 stamina
+1 int
= spirit
-10 Fire Resist
+10 Frost Resist
+10 Shadow Resist
=critical strike chance

Doesn't seem like they are different enough to warrant wearing Dragonstalker helm over Giantstalker right now (I didn't have giantstalker helm though, so going from Beaststalker->Dragonstalker was a huge boost :)). Just sad that if I had the giantstalker helmet, because of set bonuses it wouldn't really be worth it for me to wear dragonstalker at all. I hope that they buff all their tier 2 sets pretty soon.

Try to compare Dragonstalker Legguards to Giantstalker Leggings. Giantstalker is actually a little bit better, I think... >_

To get my Warrior Artifact Body piece in FFXI I needed a full alliance of 18 people ^^;

oh, we just need 5 man for one component of his epic item quest - the other component requires a 40-person raid group. It would be too easy otherwise XD

Ahhh ^^; That's still easier than FFXI. To get the Relic Armour, you need to enter the Dynamis areas. To even be able to get to the boss of that area, you need to have a 54 person armada.

On top of that, to get the Relic Weapons, the best ones in the game, they drop in Dynamis, along with the Ancient Currency... then you need a total of over 10,000 in that currency [ 1 Ancient Currency = 20,000 Gil ] and other rare items that drop only from the Dynamis Bosses @_@

I will get a Relic Axe for my Metatron Torment weapon skill [ like a limit break ] it attacks 17 times ::drool::

Yeah, FFXI has seemed crazy so far with regards to how much farming needs to be done and whatnot. I didn't even know you were still playing it, haha! You should post some pictures of your character soon :D I like seeing that kind of stuff.

WoW is so new that they don't have that kind of crazy stuff in it yet (and might never, I'm not sure, they try to discourage tons of farming for the most part I think). The best hunter weapon in the game requires a 40 person raid group to get, then I need to get one piece off Onyxia 10% drop (a black dragon that takes 40 people to kill), another piece off Azuregos 100% drop (a blue dragon that takes 40 people to kill and spawns once every 4-5 days and is camped by uber guilds) or a random level 60 elite dragonkin at 0.1% drop. Then we have to do a quest to solo 4 or 5 level 62 elite (elite just means they're harder than normal level 60s) demons, then we get our item :) Regardless it sounds a lot easier than what you have to do @_@

I think it is possible to get the weapon in one day, if you already have the other items (in that case you'd have to get the blue dragon drop off Azuregos - you can only get it off the blue dragonkin if you have the quest item) and if you have all the items necessary to be able to have a fighting chance against the demons.

I keep thinking I want to try to play FFXI someday, but I don't think I have the money or time to maintain two mmorpgs at the same time :(

They have The Vana'diel Collection now for the PC. $30 for FFXI and both expansions, along with a 30-day free trial. $30 isn't that bad, plus you get a month to check it out, you know?

Yea, I still play it... level 56 Warrior, Rank 7 of 10 in The Republic of Bastok [ 6 more missions and I'm done the Bastok section of the storyline, then onto Windurst and San d'Oria! ] I'm also on Zilart Mission 6 of 13, where I have to fight 3 NM [ Notorious Monsters, like uber monsters ] .. after Zilart missions 13 you gain access to Tu'Lia, the floating city in the sky from the ancient days. It's where alot of hard stuff is. Like the 4 gods [ Byakko, Seiryu, Suzaku, and Genbu ] along with Kirin [ who's a level 90 HNM, the level cap is 75 though :X ] and Mission 3-5 of Chains of Promathia, which is the fight against Diabolos.

There's good stuff in FFXI, and the story is really friggen sweet. The cutscenes are pretty damn cool too, especially the ones I've been getting lately.

As for farming and what not, since the economy got fucked over about 6 months ago, it's been kind of crazy. Though it is easier to get Gil now...

SE has done a good job with item monopolizers, like, a level 12 NM in one of the starting areas dropped a pair of +3AGL +3DEX boots, and Gil Sellers camped it 24/7, so the price was jacked to 1,000,000... same with a few other items, but now in the latest update SE made those items Rare/EX... so they can't be sold or traded, which means they have no value :D So anyone can get them :D

Though there are still some high-end items that are expensive... I'm saving up for my Haubergeon +1 [ +5STR +5DEX -5AGL +10 Accuracy +10 Attack -20 Evasion ]

What I think is cool, though, is even though I'm not level 60, I've done alot of the storyline stuff, which is what I'm here for. I may be able to real Zilart Mission 8 while under 60... CoP I can get to 6-3, the mission before the Airship raid on Ultima and Omega Weapons. Maybe Rank 8, we'll see.
