Onyxia!

I'd just like to post to say that we kicked Onyxia's ass on friday :) Got her on our 5th attempt, our first night! 38 of us were "Onyxia newbies, so this is pretty good!

(Quick explanation for Non-WoW players: Onyxia is a boss in the game which requires 40 skilled people to kill. She's a giant black dragon :))



During the Battle :) I snagged some pictures of Onyxia while she was flying around in "phase 2".

Awesome! Somebody beat Onyxia on our server last week and it was neat seeing her head hanging from the gates of Stormwind. :)

And I can't believe I haven't thought to tell you this before, but you should check out The Well of Eternity. Its the first book in a trilogy dealing with the first appearance of the Burning Legion and the beginning of Druidism in the Night Elf race (yay Malfurion)! Its really good and it really gives you some backstory for the game, even beyond that of playing the other Warcraft games.

You also may want to check out Day of the Dragon, which I'm currently reading. It deals with the five aspects and other things and is also really good. It also takes place before the trilogy, so you may want to read it first to get some back story on two of the main characters in "The Well of Eternity." And if you like them, definitely mention them to Erin, she would probably like them too since I'm pretty sure she plays a bit of WoW, too, (or at least WC, right?).

We've been attempting MC slowly :) We got only Lucifron on our first attempt the saturday before last, then Lucifron, Magmadar, and Gehennas this past saturday. (We tried the fourth boss, Garr, last night, but got sorely beaten by him. I think we're going to try again later in the week before the instance resets on friday!)

Are those all the other people you played with? Do actual other people like you join together to fight it? omfg that looks like so much fun...and scary dragon. XD I thought it said "onyx" at first! GO POKEMON!

yep, that's the entire group that came together to kill Onyxia :) Totalling 40 players :D

they're from a bunch of different guilds on the server... the largest chunk was from Aegis Order, then Reckless Abandon, and then a bunch of others (including me and Chris (Kelsin, my bf :))!)
