laptop had an accident :(

chris was doing an update for something on my computer, and the cord got wrapped around his leg and he started walking away and laptop got pulled off the desk and of course instead of falling on one of the large areas (back of screen or the bottom) to absorb the most impact, it landed on its side and turned off. I was like... oh... crap... mostly because I noticed it was off, not that it had fallen on its side. (laptop still has very good batteries and should not have turned off since it was only unplugged for a fraction of a second) chris turned it on again, it worked, BUT only ~0.5" of the screen on the left side was working, the rest is all shattered on the inside :( I was surprised my initial reaction wasn't being furious, actually, i'm still not mad. just sad that it no longer works :( i plan on making sure all the data is on there, tomorrow we're going to the computer place to get an estimate on how much it would cost to replace the broken part of the screen. hopefully not too much, not willing to pay a whole lot... well plus chris keeps telling me i'm not paying for it to get fixed since he's the one that broke it, obviously not going to make him do that and not asking him to do it anytime soon since things are a little tight with money.

buuuut anyway, poor little laptop needs to go to the emergency room :( i wouldn't bother even thinking about fixing it if the battery wasn't like new (soo nice since kendra pretty much never used the battery), and it works perfectly for what i want it to work for...

so... today chris and i went to the library and got books for our papers in violence, tomorrow we're going back to my house... went over cory/corey's (i don't know how to spell his name :() apartment and played some street fighter 3 which is AWESOME and then Tekken 4, I only played one game of Tekken 4 before I stopped 'cause I hate Tekken :D Maybe when 5 comes out I'll try one of the fast characters... I just hate slowness in fighting games and the whole game feels soooo slow to me XO

i'm so sorry ;~; that sucks. yeah i like NEVER used it unless it was plugged in... i think maaaaaybe 3 or 4 times i didnt do that. i hope its not too expensive to fix. ;~; if it makes you feel at all better i still considered the laptop a free-bee and the $ to be for the tablet ^^; mainly cause i'm a loser like that. ...dunno if that makes it feel better at all. ....<3 i love my caiters!

hopefully the screen won't cost too much, chris looked up prices online and its usually only about $50. but when we went to go get an estimate the place was closed >:( website store hours LIED. anyway i think it'll be cheap :D; and i'm pretty sure chris is going to pay for it (though obviously that probably means it won't be done anytime soon, i don't mind) just sucks :( oh well though!

Eh...screens are expensive. I got mine fixed once for free because it was insured. I had thrown it off my bed in major anger.

Usually they have to replace the whole thing too. Major suckage.
