ayashiWork was pretty boring... it went by really slow. There was a semi-lot of people there but most of them were just browsing, and our damn AC is broken so that didn't make it any better. Oh well though... I'm out, I'm free! Well, until 10am tomorrow. :( However, Courtney is making "better than sex" cake (lol she said when she was little she used to have it and her mom wouldn't tell her the name of it, she just found out last year, and she's like 23 or so :P) and coming into work tomorrow to celebrate Jim, since he's going to Boston and has a job as a flight instructor etc etc, so that will be a nice break to the day :)
Had steak / baked potatos / corn on the cob for dinner with uncle Richie :) It was really good... well, I can't speak for the corn. I meant to eat some but instead I had two pieces of steak. I wish I had the corn instead of the second piece of steak, oh well now.
Talked to Chris on the phone for a little bit, then I gave a list of stuff that I need for the apartment to uncle Richie. He said he can give us a brand new wok that he bought like 10-15 years ago and has never used, brand new in box :) So I'm going to ask Chris about that when he calls later... also he has tons of coffee tables, so I might take one, I don't know if it'll take up too much room in the living room though. But I guess if I do take it, and there isn't enough room in the living room, I can just leave it in the garage at home. Also he might have a desk that I (or Chris) can use :) I'll see them in August since we'll be meeting him for dinner sometime and he can cram all his stuff into his big SUV. He might have other pots/pans too from grandma bailey's house when they cleared it out... so I may have hit an Uncle Richie jackpot ;)
Also took a closer look at the bed that mom is giving to us, the box spring part sucks and mom has a mattress cover over it because it's so full of holes, and the mattress she says is old but hey, it's a mattress, and it's better than having to shell out a hundred or so (or whatever mattresses cost). It doesn't smell like cats or anything so it seems good :D The only things we really need for the bed are a pillow (for me so I don't have to bring mine back and forth and risk forgetting it) and a heavy blanket / comforter... might even consider getting one that's too big for the bed (meaning a queen or king size) so it's not useless after I get a bigger bed someday. (who knows, maybe I'd want a new one by then, but whatever)
Anyway, I really want to go to some tag sales to look for some good and cheap apartment stuff but these past 3 saturdays I've had to work or my mom has had to or last weekend Chris was here and we didn't really have time to stop... and now this weekend is Otakon! So maybe within the next two weeks I'll get to go. (Or maybe not but hey.)
Anyway I'm going to clean up my room a bit, put my computer case away, and then wait for Chris to call and play a video game or something :)
