happy birthday steph!!!!
Jul. 8th, 2004 09:24 amHAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY STEPHERS FRIEND~
Work yesterday was pretty good, well, okay, I was very busy the whole time unpacking things or cleaning but the most annoying thing ever happened.
A young woman asked me about this mirror, so I was on my way to see if we had any in the back. This other woman interrupted me on the way back (which was okay) and asked me about this desk we have, it has a base and an all glass top. So she asks about the price (which is blatantly on the desk) and then asked if we had any and I told her I would check in a minute. So I go back and get the mirror and I start ringing up the other girl and this lady comes up to me and asks if we have any in stock and I'm like, I don't know yet. So I quickly enter in the SKU for the desk to search if we have any and finish the sale with the other girl. I go toward the back to get some foam for her mirror and she asks again and I'm like "I don't know ma'am I have to check" and I wrap the mirror. I go into the back and ask if we have any desks, we have the bases but the glass that arrived with those bases is broken.
So I talk to Melissa and she said that the lady could take the glass that's on the desk on the floor. So I tell the woman this and she wants to look at the glass. I take all of the stuff off the desk for her (a 6 piece desk set, two cd towers, 6 magnifying glass/letter opener sets, and a clock) and she inspects the glass and says its okay. So Melissa and I together pick up the glass (it's pretty heavy) and carry it to the front where I start to wrap it in the foam we have. I also ring the woman up for like 10 pieces of dollhouse furniture and the desk. After a WHILE of me wrapping it, so the glass is fully covered by one layer of foam (I was going to add another one at least) This lady then says that she doesn't think the foam is enough. (I already freaking showed her the foam by the way) She wants like 5 or 6 layers which would take up like half our foam roll and it's the only foam we have. Melissa told her no of couse we couldn't do that because it will take away from a LOT of foam that other customers will also need.
The lady then says something about expecting this big guy to be helping us, and I'm thinking "you SAW us carry it over here, yes it's heavy but we were nowhere close to dropping it, just because we're not men doens't mean we can't wrap it, I don't understand the significance of that statement" So she decides to take back the desk... AND all of the dollhouse furniture, which was fucking annoying, because when we do returns I have to click on every item in the computer to do a return and on top of that I had to put the glass back (with melissa's help of course), all the crap BACK on the desk, and then have to put away all the dollhouse furniture she grabbed and I have NO idea why she returned that because there was nothing wrong with it and omg I was so annoyed >:|
Anyway overall though work was okay, I was busy unpacking stuff and we got in these new "whimsy" stuff which is totally weird and funny but I think it's cute. I don't think I would ever have some in my house (and most people wouldn't either) but it's cute anyway... yeah. I like looking at it in the store anyway :p
After work I get to pack (I already have my clothes together since I did laundry the other day but nothing else) and then when dad gets here it's Chris time! :D I might post after work and I might not, and then probably don't expect anything until sunday or monday!
I work 31 hours next week :( and one of those days next week is 8 hours~ damn it. I hate 8 hour days at Bombay :( it was even tolerable when I worked at Loeb's because I could read during the slow times and I had an hour lunch break. only half an hour at bombay :( But umm... 31 hours at least = yay money.
