my birthday

ayashiToday was pretty good. I woke up and went online and got immediately told Happy Birthday by Chris which was nice since both my parents forgot at first ;) (lol both saw me, talked for a minute, asked me if I had work, and then when I said no they were like ohhhh yeah, happy birthday) got other birthday wishes from some other friends which was also nice... lol nice to know not EVERYONE forgot, some people did though :(. (If you are a friend that I pretty much only know online, and you forgot, don't worry about it haha :) and thanks to those of you that did wish me a happy birthday!)
*ahem* yeah I'm slightly annoyed right now... well actually almost kind of pissed off. But I don't want to talk about it here, so nyah.
Mom and dad went to Staples with me and showed me a chair, I loved it, it's red suede and it rocks and was cheap, so happy birthday to me, dad bought it :) I also got myself some staples gel pens that were on sale for 3.99 because I'm a dork. I think I'll use all the colors there (except yellow). Here's my chair!! <-- click the link. I didn't put the arms on it though because a) they're ugly and b) I prefer not having the arms, makes it so I can sit indian style more easily and I can draw on the tablet more easily. Yay.
Umm... yeah, not celebrating really with the family until saturday, because Mike had to work tonight. I had cheesecake though!!! Mom bought one at Price Chopper after I said I wanted one, haha. Would have been better if she made it but there's no way she could have when I didn't tell her beforehand.
So, I'm 20, out of my "reckless" teenage years which were not reckless in the least. Overall, a good birthday. I'm happy. I think I'll go to sleep now, and maybe try drawing but I'll probably fall asleep. I definitely just need some sleep, I feel like it's been a very, very long day.
One of the highlights though was definitely playing some UT2004 with Chris. That game is awesome. Chris and I kept getting 2nd and 3rd when we were playing! lol we're not like UT geniuses by far, and we know it, but it's still fun to be seeing our names that high up on the list ;) It's just a shame that his 56k prevents him from playing in invasion mode at all, because of lag :( we tried playing it together, but I was lagging like 2 seconds when he was hosting it and he was lagging a lot when I had it, so looks like Invasion will be impossible with him on the 56k connection ;_; We'll be able to play plenty though when we're back at school I guess, and when he visits over here :)
