new stepford wives is a comedy??

apparently the new stepford wives movie is a comedy? ...what???

i still feel really bad... i feel hot and like i have a fever, but i'm running low (97.7) so i'm not quite sure why i'm feeling that way. around 5:30 i fell asleep for half an hour. woke up when mom came home, changed into pjs at her request (i was sleeping in this horribly awkward position in the middle of my bed, sleeping along the width rather than the length of the bed, in the clothes i wore to work this morning). i also got a birthday card with a $25 check from aunt patti and uncle mike so yay! going to write them a thank you note with the cute new cards i bought at crane and co. (i went there while i was waiting for the bus to come)

i feel very crappy about taking the bus to work because i only worked for an hour and a half and yet spent $3 to do it! what a waste of money.

i just watched law and order: svu for the first time. it was nifty but the actors are kind of funny sometimes... but yeah. not one i'll ever watch a lot but it isn't so bad. wait, what the hell? this must be a marathon or something. this is the 3rd episode in a row.

ok, time to do something else

A bad comedy, at that. The acting, cinematography, et al are perfectly fine, but the script is just deplorable and it ruins the whole thing. Plus a completely different ending AND backstory make it pretty passable at best. Walken, Broderick still give superb performances.

that's completely weird to me! Chris and I saw the preview for it (back when it actually looked like a horror movie) and went and rented the old movie to see what it was like, and now it seems they've completely changed a lot of important things... that's pretty lame :/

haha its hard to get me to say any actors are cute, but you probably wouldn't find any of them to be :) they're pretty much all middle aged (or older) guys, well maybe you'd like one of them? I don't know, I'm a dorky loser!

I saw The Stepford Wives a few days ago, and really enjoyed it. It's a comedy alright, but I found it pretty much as disturbing as the original. I think part of the reason they went that way is because the horror bit had been done, everyone knew the story already, and because the original story just isn't as relevant to today's society as it was to the '70s. I found the remake to be really funny and I liked most of the changes they made.
