broken ftw :D
Oct. 14th, 2006 12:53 amThe camcorder that I ordered for the project that Jared and I have due monday is defective.
Yep.
Won't let me put in a tape. It instantly tells me to remove the tape. I tried multiple tapes, so unless the entire package of tapes I bought is defective (unlikely, I think), then the camera is defective.
Apparently this is a problem with many Canon brand camcorders, but of course none of the reviews I read said anything about it :D Now, searching the problem however, it seems this is an INCREDIBLY common problem. I am almost glad that it came up now (if it weren't for the fact I have a project that I NEED it for due monday) instead of 3 months from now when it would be that more difficult to return, but... I am pissed :(
Chris and I are going to Best Buy tomorrow to try to find something else to use. I am worried we won't find something with exactly the specs we need, but we'll see.
