spider dream >:o

I had a dream last night in which there was this crazy metallic spider. I can't remember the whole dream, just the part where there were no spiders in this house I was in, but then they started to come in, and the first to come into that room was the crazy metal spider, which of course started right toward me. I kicked it back into the room, which made it furious, and it jumped toward me, at which point I woke up and swore I felt something run across my leg, which scared the crap out of me :( must have been the remnants of my dream carrying on, because nothing could have done so. I didn't even have Sadie in here last night.

Let's see. I didn't do much last night after posting. Talked to Steph and Erin a little, and then I was really tired so I played FFTA for a few minutes, then turned it off and went to bed. Asked Erin to wake me up if Chris called. Like half an hour or an hour after I fell asleep, dad woke me up and told me phone, so I talked to Chris for a while and then we both went to bed!

He and Alex are coming tomorrow! Yay! We're going to watch Battle Royale and maybe some anime, and thursday we are going to pick up Jared, leave for Otakon, and hopefully get there in time for thursday badge pick-up. I forget how long the drive to Baltimore is :( But I seem to remember us getting there at a kind of decent hour even considering we left at 3 or 4. So... I'm optimistic. I guess it depends when they start to turn people away. Pick up is technically going from 5-10pm, but the line can get just as long as friday morning's, so... whatever, we'll see!

I have to take the bus to go to the dentist at 11 :( Oh, I should rinse off my retainer now!

puddles SUCK

grr i am dumb. i was walking to mom's car after work with three things in my hands - a thing of crackers, an empty soda can, and my game boy advance sp. i was going to the car and things started to slip! one thing fell. what fell? my game boy. INTO A PUDDLE. (mind you, there was not much in the way of puddles anywhere EXCEPT where I dropped it. It had rained earlier in the day but how I dropped it that was the only one it could have fallen into, and of course it did)

i wanted to scream! i was so pissed. i pulled the game out and dried it off. at least the puddle wasn't too deep, so i don't think it was fully immersed. i let it dry and luckily for me it still works all right.

how come the ONE valuble thing I had with me that could NOT take a bath is the one thing that did????
